Still one of the most popular venues for Italian cuisine. The restaurant serves a rich menu of tasty Italian dishes including 10 types of pizza and pasta, salads and a buffet with a selection of hot dishes.
Friendly and hands-on management make it worthy of its excellent reputation, and although the menu is largely unoriginal, the food is as good as elsewhere and generously portioned.
Offers a breakfast menu from 9.00 to noon and a reasonably priced business lunch. In addition, you can find a second branch of Mama Roma at Moskovsky prospect, 192.

The restaurant is designed in a classical style. Paintings in old Italian masters' fashion along with trademark smithery by noted St-Petersburg artist Nikolai Yakobson give Il Ponte's interior its special cosiness and warmth. Il Ponte offers an extensive menu accompanied with wines and cigars. An excellent place for a romantic escape where no one will find you.

The main reason to come here is the environment : You're almost inside Mikhailovsky Gardens, with a view of the Mikhailovsky Castle and the candy-colored domes of the Church on the Spilled Blood. The cozy, compact pink building has a delightful shaded terrace and artsy attic room. It's hard to imagine that in Soviet times this pavilion was a public toilet. Thankfully there's no remnant of that era left, and the only scents wafting out are those of hot tea and fresh flowers. The cuisine is Russian-style Italian, meaning thin-crust pizzas, Caesar salad with salmon, and plenty of fish. The service can be slow, so don't come here in a rush.

Slightly classier and more Italian than the likes of Pizza Hut, but less pricy than the city's other Italian restaurants, this medium-priced pizzeria occupies one of the most central and convenient locations of any restaurant in the city. A few steps from Nevsky Prospect metro, the positioning also makes it one of the city's busiest eateries. Their advertising makes much of the "wood-oven" used to cook the pizza.
